Getting the DS has drastically changed my life. Besides the fact that I went from an all-time high of 264 to a low of 140 (now almost 4 years out up to 150), it has enriched my life in so many ways.

For the first time I am actually LIVING and enjoying life to the fullest. My only regret is that I didn't do this even earlier. But, better late than never! I am hoping to complete my journey with plastic surgery within the year...but even if I never do this, I am 100% okay with that.

My liver enzymes went back to normal, my cholesterol and triglycerides are awesome, and my blood pressure is perfect. My mother developed diabetes several years ago, and I knew that that was what my future held if I continued to be obese.

My before picture is the day after my surgery while I was in the hospital in Omaha and weighed approximately 250 pounds. My after picture is when I was almost 2 years out and weighed approximately 145 pounds. I went from a size 22/24 to a size 8. At my lowest weight I was a size 6. I never dreamed it was possible to be in a single-digit size.

If you're considering weight loss surgery, I highly recommend Dr. Anthone and his team. They are lifesavers and truly care about you as a person. He even remembers my boyfriend's name and asks about him at my visits. That's pretty impressive! :)
